Uncle Nicky’s Opening on South Lamar in Austin

South Lamar Gets a Taste of Italy

Uncle Nicky's Italian Specialties is opening its second location on South Lamar in Austin, Texas, on June 22. Co-owners Nic Yanes and Travis Tober aim to replicate the success of their Hyde Park location. The new spot at 2121 South Lamar Boulevard will offer fast-casual service with an all-day menu featuring sandwiches, pastas, and snacks. Signature dishes include the breakfast sandwich with Taylor ham, baked pepperoni rigatoni, and vegetarian lasagna. Desserts such as vanilla custards, cannolis, and tiramisu will also be available. The drinks menu boasts negronis, spritzes, and espresso cocktails, with creative concoctions like the Tropic Thunder and the Oaxacan Espresso. Uncle Nicky's South Lamar will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. The opening celebration on June 22 will feature complimentary samples, special discounts, and live music. Yanes and Tober also collaborate on other Austin ventures, including Murray’s Tavern. This new location promises to become a beloved fixture on South Lamar, continuing the tradition of quality and hospitality.
